I really don’t know. But I’m willing to try, so here’s a series of sketches, doodles and paintings I did those last few days and months: (feedback mostly apprecitated)

I discovered a new technique in photography called ‘low key’. It’s photos using really really little light. I find that very fascinating but pretty hard to do. I’m far from mastering it but Dalla, from Flickr, really does a very nice job of it (and of other techniques as well!)

and nothing much to say. As usual. I wonder why it’s so hard for me to write anything in there. When I can ‘write’ so much things in my mind usually. My fingers hurt. My hands hurt. I must have been too much on the computer today, although I swear I didn’t write much at all. I just drew something, well, painted something would be more accurate. It’s a face. Of a white boy, although that could be a woman too. His/ her hair is blond and rather short. It’s watercolors. I didn’t scan it, mostly because the scanner is just too far from me right now. I might scan it tomorrow, though, or not. It’s not a great painting. I need to see it in daylight first. Gee. My hands hurt.

et oui déjà deux mois que je n’ai rien écrit ici. et pourtant, il s’en est passé des choses depuis. en plus, j’avais dit que je le ferais en français ce blog, et … finalement, il est bien plus anglais que français!

*soupirs* aaaah ouais.

J’ai des tas de trucs à dire, la plupart étant un bon ramassis de ‘bêtises’ donc je vais peut être m’abstenir pour l’instant. En plus, je suis vannée et j’ai la cervelle en marmelade.

J’ai le nouveau Robin Hobb, Dragon Keeper. Je ferais surement un article là dessus quand je l’aurais terminé. Sinon, du côté des séries, j’aime beaucoup Moonlight en ce moment.

J’ai aussi trois tonnes (littéralement) de trucs à scanner. ahh oui et je me suis offert un ordi portable. et des nouvelles baskets mais ça… c’est pas super intéressant. Quoique.

Robinson Crusoé is one of my favorite story, I’ve always loved it, it has a certain fascination on me I could say. And today, staying in my little flat on this holiday day, I realised I was a bit like him, stranded from the world even if I just had to go out to see people. Yes, it felt really like being on my own little private island today, way before Friday had found his way to me. I wonder how he felt, I very much would like to ‘feel’ what he felt. And somehow, I can just aspire to the calm and peace of not being surrounded by civilation as well as missing it deeply. I’ve heard this phrase ‘Every man is an island’ in a movie, and truly, I feel like being an island myself sometimes. And yet, I’m not.

I wish I could write for I would write a poem about you.

To tell the world how nice and gentle you were and how we will miss you.

I wish I could paint for I would paint the world in bright colors.

To ease the pain I feel now that I know you are gone.

I wish I could sing a song that would ease the souls of the ones who loved you, and who lost you.

To make them strong and proud and brave enough to face the world without you.

I wish I could…

Just finished Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts. Not exactly the best one I read from her. At least I’m learning things about flowers…. I guess.

Books bought : Word 2002 – Excel 2002 and Photoshop CS manuals. I’m regretting a bit the two first ones, I didn’t find really anything new in those two, but still they can help me remember some formulas or shortcuts. The Photoshop one looks more interesting. And the In the garden trilogy by Nora Roberts at the bookclub.

It’s one of the silly ideas I had for this Edge of the world theme. Might polish it if I got time, I’m quite liking it.

Second, I’m reading this book right now:

THE GUN SELLER by Hugh Laurie (amazon)

Of course anybody knows who Hugh Laurie is, and if you don’t well, where have you been living? in a cave? or on Pluton maybe. So, I already enjoyed a lot the actor, and I honestly didn’t have high expectations as to the book. But how wrong I was! The guy knows how to write. I don’t regret at all to have bought that book, it’s a very good surprise. I only wish now that Laurie would write more. Hee.

Movies:

I went to see Benjamin Button with a friend, and this was a very pleasant movie, the story is quite simple but still I enjoyed being taken through the life of Benjamin and going through time and experiences along the way of his life. It’s been refreshing to live somebody else’s life for two or three hours, I don’t really know how long the movie is. And. Argh. Angelina is a really a lucky girl. She must have been very good in her previous life.

Gran Torino. The last Clint Eastwood movie and a very nice way to end a carrier. Very nice story and totally unexpected ending. I’m glad Eastwood won’t retire entirely the movie business but only the acting part. He really is a great movie maker.

Marley and me. Avoid at all costs. mmm yes, even if it’s free.

There you go.  I’m going to see Knowing tonight with Nicolas Cage, well, not really with him, but well, you know, right? I do have great expectations for this one, I hope Iwon’t be too desappointed.

Oups, must go and feed the cat. *see you*
